Radiant Jasmin (both said together) is a multidisciplinary visual and performance artist. Her craft mediums include: jewelry making, mosaics, mask making and fibers. She was raised in Boston with her family of African-American artists, learning about many artforms from her mother, grandparents, aunts and uncle.
Like a chef, she selects each art ingredient to complement and bring out the best in the others. Her art helps her to be more centered, to appreciate the miracles of nature and focuses on helping people to love themselves, each other and respect the earth.
She studied Fine Metals at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and attended the full-time Jewelry Making & Repair program at The North Bennet Street School. She received a “Certificate of Special Recognition” from the Governor of Rhode Island for her Service in the Arts.
She created several multimedia and stained glass mosaic murals that are installed at public schools, hospitals and community housing developments in Boston and the surrounding area. Radiant Jasmin teaches children, teens and adults in schools & community centers using fun ways to link art with preventative healthcare info, literacy, math, science & social studies for a holistic educational experience.
As a lead art consultant on many visual art projects featuring fine art in hospitals, she brought an in-depth experience and understanding of the art requirements in art and healing. She helped initiate 2 unique surveys involving “children and art” and the “multicultural healthcare community and art” and led the teams collecting and evaluating this information.
Radiant Jasmin blends her skills as an artist, educator, curator and art consultant to help people use art in all forms as a tool for positive self-expression and healing.
